1. The offer and active acceptance
These terms apply only where your personal offer is expressly labelled an influencer collaboration. In exchange for the stated offer benefits, you agree to the named content deliverables, to Story By Anyone featuring your song in its own channels, and to an official NorthBeat-managed music release. Both social and streaming-release rights form one mandatory collaboration arrangement presented from the first invitation. You must actively confirm these rights during checkout before the order can be placed and production begins. Neither can be removed while keeping this special offer; no later Spotify opt-in is needed. You may decline the offer instead of granting these rights; normal customer checkout retains its optional social choice and private-by-default song.
2. Sharing the delivered song in Story By Anyone channels
You give Story By Anyone a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to feature your delivered song or reasonable excerpts, its title and non-identifying song artwork on Story By Anyone-controlled social-media channels for community and promotional purposes. The permission is limited to this song. It does not publish the private interview, Story DNA, Story Vault, email, unpublished personal information, your own photos or unrelated third-party material. Naming or depicting identifiable individuals, including children, may require additional specific permission.
You may request an end to new promotional features and removal of existing features where reasonably possible under the Licence Terms and mandatory law. Copies already shared or lawfully used cannot always be fully removed from third-party services.
3. Official NorthBeat release is part of every influencer offer
You expressly authorise Story By Anyone and NorthBeat Records to prepare a public version of this collaboration song, edit and arrange the production, re-record or regenerate production elements where legally permitted, mix, professionally master, produce release artwork and metadata, reproduce, distribute, promote, licence and monetise the resulting official recording worldwide on Spotify, Apple Music and other supported music services. The rights are granted as part of the initial collaboration agreement, effective on its active acceptance at checkout before production starts. The grant covers the resulting song and lawful revised release versions without a second Spotify permission request. The influencer offer includes that release-production and distribution work for the song, with no separate NorthBeat Release application fee. The song is produced in English only; the creator may give their interview and story in a different supported language.
NorthBeat Records chooses the public artist identity: either Story By Anyone or an appropriate NorthBeat Records artist. A NorthBeat artist will only be credited if the artist and rightsholders have agreed and the metadata truthfully reflects the underlying musical contributions. NorthBeat Records acts as record label and controls and administers the official released master, subject to pre-existing and third-party rights.
Official Spotify distribution is an intended part of every accepted influencer collaboration, not an optional private-song upgrade. However, the date and release depend on human quality control, the rights in the actual musical recording and source material, artist permission, distributor/platform approval and any required consents. We will not publish an unlawful or technically unsuitable recording; the parties may need to agree reasonable corrections or a replacement version.
4. Rights, permission and financial terms
You keep any original protected lyrics, melodies, performances, stories and materials you already own. To the extent you own or control such material incorporated into the collaboration recording, you grant Story By Anyone and NorthBeat a non-exclusive worldwide licence for the editing, mastering, distribution, streaming, promotion and monetisation described in section 3 during the commercial exploitation of the recording, subject to applicable law. You confirm you have permission to supply any third-party protected material; you cannot grant rights owned by another person. Protected contributions needing additional clearance must be cleared separately before public release.
NorthBeat retains the official master and distribution revenue received by the label, unless a separate written agreement or applicable third-party right requires a different allocation. This collaboration does not automatically grant you a share of Spotify streaming, master or publishing revenue. A separately negotiated affiliate commission applies only to the qualifying Story By Anyone customer sales specified in your affiliate agreement, not automatically to streaming income. No fee, commission, deliverable schedule or royalty share is created merely by opening an offer link.
Any identity or story credit given to you is not automatically a composer, performer, songwriter or featured artist credit; actual human creative contributions must be properly recognised. The right to use your likeness, photos or endorsement in separate promotional content is not granted by these terms unless you explicitly approve it.
5. Creator posts and sponsored disclosure
The specific Reel, Stories, links, duration, tags and other deliverables are those individually agreed in the personal offer. Story By Anyone permits use of the delivered song in the agreed creator promotional posts; unrelated advertising, sublicensing, resale or paid campaigns beyond the agreed posts require a separate licence. Both sides must comply with applicable marketing disclosure rules, platform terms, rights obligations and tax/reporting duties.
6. Future changes, requests and customer rights
A request to stop new use or remove a release will be evaluated under the written agreement, rights and mandatory law. NorthBeat may submit takedown requests where justified and technically possible, but cannot guarantee removal from every repost, download or archive. Any material change to rights for an already accepted collaboration requires a new agreement where the law requires it.
The Terms of Purchase, Licence Terms and Privacy Notice apply as well. Mandatory law and third-party rightsholders' rights take precedence where applicable.
